This December 3rd & 4th, The Meridian High School Department Of Theatre will Present “A Carefully Calculated Murder” (The Termination of Schwerner, Chaney, and Goodman) written & directed by Randy Ferino. Co-Directed by up and coming actor, playwright, and MHS Junior Tyler Hopson!!!

During Freedom Summer of 1964 in Meridian, Mississippi and Neshoba County they organized a plan to help African Americans gain the right to vote in the state of Mississippi. This made them a target across the entire state, and as a result, “A Carefully Calculated Plan” was set into motion to maintain control over Black voting registration in Mississippi & Schwerner, Chaney, and Goodman’s fates were sealed.
