Mahjong Mississippi – Hope in Every Hand

March 27–28, 2026 — The historic MSU Riley Center will come alive with excitement, community, and compassion as Mahjong enthusiasts from across Mississippi and beyond gather for the first annual Mahjong Mississippi Tourn-Event: Hope in Every Hand. This two-day experience combines the joy of the game with the powerful purpose of supporting Hope Village for Children, a refuge for some of the state’s most vulnerable youth.

Founded by Emmy Award-winning actress and Mississippi native Sela Ward, Hope Village for Children provides safety, stability, and healing to children from more than 80 counties across Mississippi. The organization offers not only shelter, but also educational support, life skills training, and opportunities for children to experience the joy of simply being kids again.
