Distinguished Young Women of MS
Twenty-nine Mississippi high school seniors will compete for $35,900 in college scholarships when the 2025 Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program gets under way Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Meridian, MS. The state program is now in its 68th year celebrating and spotlighting outstanding achievements of the state’s best and brightest high school girls. The three nights of competition at The Evangel Temple Church concludes on Saturday, July 13. The doors open nightly at 7:00 p.m. and each show starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. for the three-night event.
While in Meridian the week of July 7-13, the Distinguished Young Women participants are involved in rehearsals, community service activities at MS Children’s Museum and The Wesley House. Fun events include Host Family Western Party at Castle Plantation, dinner with the judges at the MAX and a Red-Carpet Party at Northwood Country Club. The public is invited to an autograph party on July 9th at Belle G. July 13th shop at a Kendra Scott Give Back Pop Up Shop in the lobby of Evangel Temple from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit our scholarship fund.
On the nights of the showcase participants are evaluated in a rigorous fitness routine, self-expression, and talent. Participants will take part in a 10-minute interview with the judges during the day. A separate panel of judges reviews the scholastic records.
Reserved tickets for the 2025 Distinguished Young Women Program are available for $65 for a three-night package.
