Around Town Carousels Abound
Around Town Carousels Abound is a public art project featuring over 60 life-size carousel horse sculptures placed throughout the city and surrounding areas. Each horse is uniquely designed and painted by a commissioned artist, with the carousel icon representing the historical Dentzel Carousel in Meridian.
The exhibit invites both locals and visitors to stop and admire individual horses whenever they happen upon one. There are 13 horses located in the heart of historic downtown Meridian. They make for an ideal walking tour or the start of a special outing to tour the entire exhibit.
